A student-led initiative

Strong athletes need strong minds too.

Mind in Motion is a student led initiative exploring the mental side of sports — from performance anxiety and confidence to injuries, setbacks, and resilience. Because your mental game matters just as much as your physical one.

Why Mind in Motion exists

This project was started by a student athlete and aspiring psychologist who has lived through the mental challenges that come with sports, the pressure to perform, the frustration of injuries, and the moments when confidence disappears. Mind in Motion exists to help other young athletes feel less alone in those experiences.

The mental side of sports

What we explore

Confidence

Understanding where confidence comes from — and how to rebuild it when it fades.

Performance anxiety

Why nerves show up before competition, and how to work with them instead of against them.

Resilience

How athletes recover from setbacks, injuries, and the moments that test their mental strength.

I didn't realise how much my mindset was affecting my performance until I started paying attention to it. That awareness changed everything.

— Rebecca Elkhalid, 15
